Day 26 – Clara Jeong
1. What do you do for a living? (occupation/field of study)
I’m a product designer.
2. How do you like to spend your free time?
With the weather getting nicer, I’ve been enjoying going on drives these days!
3. Share one interesting fact about you that most people don’t know!
I can do cool tricks with my toes.
4. Do you have a favorite book in the Bible? If you do, which one is it and why?
Our life group’s writing the book of Psalms and that’s been my favorite lately. I like how honest and vulnerable David is in his prayers, which makes the book that much more humane. When I don’t know how to translate my feelings into prayers, David’s prayers reflect what kind of heart I should pray with.
5. Is there a verse/passage in the Bible that has significantly impacted your life? If so, which is it and why?
(Psalm 46:10) He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
I consider myself independent and self-driven, and I don’t say that proudly. It also means I have difficulty letting God come into and work in my life. This verse is my religious motto; it is a reminder of my imperfection and God’s sovereignty.
6. Is there a prayer request that has been on your heart recently? If so, please share with us.
My prayer request is to truly understand what it means to love and live for God.
7. Tell us about how you met Christ? (feel free to share a brief testimony)
I met Christ in the year of 2017 on a mission trip. I was a recent college graduate exhausted from worldly concerns, and have drifted very far from God. As shameful as it is, the mission trip to me at that time was a means to escape and empty my head. Even when my heart was filled with everything that was wrong, God is so amazing because he was even using that to build his kingdom. He was accepting all of me. After that, I realized even further how God’s love and mercy was so evidently prevalent in my life — through the people I served with, the goods and challenges in life, etc.
