Day 3 – Peter Ku
1. What do you do for a living? (occupation/field of study)
I am a UX designer.
2. How do you like to spend your free time?
I like to spend my free time playing video games or watching random YouTube videos for hours.
3. Share one interesting fact about you that most people don’t know!
I can open doors with my feet (even the ones without handles).
4. Do you have a favorite book in the Bible? If you do, which one is it and why?
My favorite books in the Bible are 1st and 2nd Kings because they serve as a continuous reminder for me to not judge others, but to realize that I am a terrible person that is only saved by God's grace.
5. Is there a verse/passage in the Bible that has significantly impacted your life? If so, which is it and why?
Colossians 2:6 "Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him”. I know I've received Christ, but I continuously struggle to walk in Him. I know I will struggle with this for the rest of my life, but reading this verse makes me want to be more conscious of this struggle and continue to walk in faith.
6. Is there a prayer request that has been on your heart recently? If so, please share with us.
Please pray for me to fall in love with the Lord again. Also, for Russia and Ukraine to find God's peace and love with open hearts.
7. Tell us about how you met Christ? (Feel free to share a brief testimony)
I was born into a Christian family but never really knew what it meant to accept Christ and love God. As I grew older, I fell away from God and my life was good in a worldly sense. I was having fun with my friends and enjoying a life of sin, but at some point, my heart desired something greater. I had no idea what I was looking for at the time, but I felt a great sense of emptiness and I tried to fill that emptiness with more and more sin. I thought that diving deeper into worldly pleasures would satisfy me, but it just made me feel hopeless that I'd ever find something to make me feel complete.
During this time, I didn't even entertain the fact that God could be the solution to my problem. Seeking God was the furthest thing from my mind, but when I somehow stumbled back to church, God showed me that He was the answer. I wasn't expecting anything that first Sunday I went back to church in years, but God met me that day and I left service with tears in my eyes. God brought me to Him when I wasn't even searching for Him and for that I am eternally grateful.
