LORD’S PRAYER

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom,
the power, and the glory are yours
now and forever.
Amen.

APOSTLES’ CREED

I believe in God the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried.
He descended into hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
and sits on the right hand of God
the Father Almighty.
From there he will come to judge
the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Holy catholic* Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.

James 1:19-26 (ESV)

19 Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger;

20 for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

21 Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.

22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror.

24 For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like.

25 But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.

26 If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless.

3. Psalm BRF (Aug. 26th)

  • Bible Reading Fellowship is starting Psalm Book Two on Monday, August 26th. BRF is held in-person at 6:30 P.M. at Haeun Educational Building (201-03 29th Ave Bayside, NY. 11360) and includes a time of fellowship dinner. If you are interested in joining or would like more information, please contact Pastor YT or email us at info@graceny.org. 

4. Thursday Bible Study (Aug. 29th)

  • We will be studying The Gospel of Luke on Thursdays at 7:30 P.M. over fourteen weeks starting on August 29th. The location will be at the Dream House. If you are interested, you may sign up at the table outside or contact Pastor Andrew Chung at andrewchung.graceny@gmail.com. The deadline to sign up is next Sunday, August 25th.

5. Outdoor Service and Fellowship (Sep. 15th)

  • On September 15th, our Sunday service and fellowship will take place at Valley Stream State Park (Valley Stream State Park Rd, Valley Stream, NY 11580). Please arrive by 10:30 A.M. and we will begin service at 11:00 A.M. There is an $8 parking fee for those who are driving. Feel free to invite your family and friends to join us!
