LORD’S PRAYER

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom,
the power, and the glory are yours
now and forever.
Amen.

APOSTLES’ CREED

I believe in God the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried.
He descended into hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
and sits on the right hand of God
the Father Almighty.
From there he will come to judge
the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Holy catholic* Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.

James 5:13-18 (ESV)

13 Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise.

14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.

15 And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth.

18 Then he prayed again, and heaven gave rain, and the earth bore its fruit.

2. Kingdom Series Conference (Jul. 31st to Aug. 2nd)

  • Kingdom Series Conference is currently taking place until tomorrow. Please continue to pray for the staff and the participants.

3. Flow Summer Camp in the Bronx (Aug. 5th to Aug. 7th)

  • Flow will take place from Aug. 5th (Thur) to Aug. 7th (Sat) in the Bronx. Please pray for our volunteers, our partners (New Life Rehoboth Church and Simplicity), and the participating children.

4. Flow Fundraising (Jul. 19th to Aug. 6th)

  • We will be holding a raffle event through our Instagram (@gracenychurch) to raise funds for Flow 2021. If you have Instagram, we would like to ask for participation and help through sharing it on your page. Thank you.

5. Book Club (Aug. 24th to Dec. 7th)

  • We are starting a Book Club on Tuesday, Aug. 24th. We will be reading “Victory Over the Darkness” by Neil T. Anderson. It will run for 15 weeks every Tuesday evening at 8:30 P.M. If you are interested in joining or have any questions, please contact Hana at rosa.h.kim@gmail.com.

6. Membership Orientation (Aug. 15th)

  • Membership orientation will take place on Sunday, Aug. 15th after worship service for those of you who may be interested in becoming a member of Grace Church and/or would like to learn about our mission and vision. 7. Pray with Us

  • Here are some prayer topics that we ask you to keep in your prayers.

    1. Our country: Pray for the leaders and unity of our country. Let us ask God for justice, healing and reconciliation.
    2. Covid-19: Continue to pray for the people who have been affected physically, emotionally, spiritually and financially by the virus.   

    3. Mission field: Pray for our missionaries and partnering churches.
